Everybody visiting Bali should take a trip to Gili Trawangan too!

This was my 3rd time to visit the paradise island of Gili Trawangan. The beautiful island, who is the biggest of 3 islands located outside the coast of Lombok (Indonesia) always amaze me with its beauty and relaxed atmosphere. The sea surrounding the island is clear as drinking water and perfect for snorkling or diving. We went snorkling 2 days in a row, meeting too many fishes to count and also burned our asses pretty bad in the sun. Well, it was worth it!

The best part about the Gili islands is that there is no motorized traffic. No cars, no motorbikes. Only horsewagons and bikes. It’s so silent, a perfect getaway from the never sleeping Kuta rock city, Bali, where I’m living.

For the first time I got to go around the whole island, riding a bike along the beach! We stopped here and there to relax and drink fresh friut juice, and at the end of the day we watched the sun setting behind the vulcano Agung (Bali) in the horizon.

Everyone should visit the Gili islands someday!
